by Was New Boy inoregon.
google_ad_section_start there are so many after after 52 years in the "borg".. my top two would have to be at my last hall in tigard oregon.. one lady slept in her pickup truck with 30 parakeets, sometimes in the kh parking lot.
people tried to help her with accommodations but she like the truck better.

The only other alternative i can think of is to 'pioneer' but then just not turn up for service & claim that your hours have been made up through informal witnessing. They might just be gullible enough to fall for it..

Two elders are coming to visit at my invitation.
by Wasanelder Once inthe elders have been spreading lies about me to jw friends and they are panicked.
they don't know what to make of it.
i've never given them reason to doubt my faithfulness or to make them think i talk against the organization.

WASANELDERONCE- Sorry to hear that this is happening to you. Been there , experienced this myself. Actually a couple months ago I ran into a JW from my former congregation 7 years ago when I last attended. Although I was just inactive and stopped attending, he said he heard I had been DFed. I said, " No, that's not true . You we're misinformed - I just stopped attending. " Point I'm making is this stuff happens ALL the time to those of us who stopped attending and are no longer around to defend our position.
So what exactly are the " lies " that are being told about you to the JW people you know ? You do have the right of course to stand up for yourself and debunk the lies . I know you'll be careful about what you say having been an elder. But like others have said- don't expect to get very far with these elders- their alleigance is to the WT society first and foremost - not individual Jehovah's Witness members. Especially disgruntled ones. Good luck to you ! Keep us updated. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Think of it this way. They're probably worried about you, they're just looking out for you really. It's easy to get annoyed & see it as harrassment when you no longer buy into the bullshit. But try to see it from their perspective, they're all enthusiastic about this religion (a religion which is supposed to be their life afterall), & seeing you be so unenthusiastic about it is obviously going to concern them. And since you're posting here, it appears that any suspicions they have are confirmed.
So, if you're not in a position to tell them the truth, all i can suggest is that you politely tell them that you are having personal problems which you would rather not discuss. That usually works to get people off your back, for a little while at least.

What was your most embarassing WTF experience with a fanatical witness??
by Reality79 inwe've all known those fanatical witnesses who are guilty of pdf (public display of faith) and always have to make a big song and dance to the whole world and let everyone and their dog know they're a faithful witness of jay hoover!.
1) when my mother first came in 'da troooof' this wacky, over zealous 'sister' was studying with her - you know the type.
this woman was one of those not so subtle individuals who would always talk loud in conversation and say the name jehovah a million times even when the conversation could have been about basketball.

I remember I was out in service once, many moons ago, I was with a particularly zealous brother from one of those faraway 'lands' that the society frequently boasts about. We called upon an engineer, he was not at all interested in us, he told us that he didn't believe in jehovah & he thought we were wasting our lives, he told us where to go.
Well, the zealous brother was not having any of this. He put on his wizard hat & cloak, pulled out his wand & summoned the angels down from upon high to teach the engineer a lesson. He was cast up into heaven where we was made to eat his own soiled words from the filthy palm of mother mary, who had just finished giving out her daily heavenly handjobs. When the engineer was sent back down to earth, his tail tugged between his legs, he took the magazines from my hand (I was holding them, the zealous brother was busy cleaning his wand at the time), & hurried back inside his house. The zealous brother had made his point, but I couldn't help but feel that his behaviour had been a tad over the top, the poor engineer was scarred for life no doubt.
Anyway, suffice to say, the entire experience was very embarrassing for me.

Some of you people in here really have gone about this the wrong way. Here is someone who is just looking for like minded people to talk to & you ridicule her for it. Instead of giving helpful suggestions you just type sarcastic babble & star wars caption jokes (yeah, you fucking hilarious bunch, you ought to be on tv you little comedians), she'll probably never come back here now because of some of you bastards. She'll be yet another watchtower slave & all because you reinforced the negative image that the watchtower gives apostates.
You know, as scummy as the watchtower is, sometimes i think they have a point about certain non-adherents.
Assholes.
